Volunteer with WxLA!
Join the WxLA Coalition!
Are you passionate about advancing gender justice in landscape architecture? WxLA is looking for advocates and leaders from across the country who share our mission and want to help us grow our movement.
Since launching six years ago, WxLA has become a powerful voice for womxn in our profession—raising awareness of the barriers to equity, creating strategies for change, and celebrating new models of practice. Our action-oriented initiatives include the first ever Women’s Landscape Equality (re)Solution, a vibrant media presence, and the WxLA Scholarship program, which has already supported dozens of recipients.
Now, WxLA is expanding its infrastructure. We are seeking new board members and volunteers to help us take this young nonprofit to the next level. Board members and volunteers will:
Promote and champion the mission of WxLA;
Provide strategic guidance and hands-on support for programs;
Act as ambassadors to stakeholders and communities;
Contribute ideas, resources, and professional networks to advance our objectives.
Ideal candidates bring experience in landscape architecture, activism, or the nonprofit sector, along with a strong track record of leadership, advocacy, or resource-building.
Later this year, we’ll issue an official call for volunteers. At that time, we’ll ask you to share your interests, skills, and capacities so we can align roles with your strengths and amplify our collective impact.
“Since our launch, we have grown into a movement of thousands,” said Rebecca Leonard, WxLA Board Member. “We look forward to bringing new passionate voices to enrich our vision and expand our reach.”
